The 2024 South Jersey high school football season will kick off with the annual Battle at the Beach Football Classic showcase on Thursday, August 29. The three-day event will feature 14 games at Ocean City High School and Egg Harbor Township High School. The following South Jersey teams are scheduled to participate in the event: West Deptford, Mainland, Atlantic City, Ocean City, Cinnaminson, Schalick, Washington Township, Cherokee, Winslow, Millville, Holy Spirit, Highland, Rancocas Valley, Oakcrest, Hammonton, Cedar Creek, Eastside and Egg Harbor Township. Many of those teams have sectional and state championship aspirations.
Several West Jersey Football League teams will kick off their season on Friday, September 6. The league realigned its divisions this season. This cycle occurs every two years and is based on performance and geography. Click here for this year's WJFL division alignments.
