CHERRY HILL - The Eastern Regional High School baseball team rallied for a 5-3 win against Seneca on Monday and had to move on quick with a bus ride to Olympic Conference American Division rival Cherry Hill East scheduled for Tuesday.
The Vikings picked up where they left off to secure a 9-0 victory over the Cougars to improve their record to 7-1.
A lights-out pitching performance by junior Logan Dawson and a five-run fifth inning fueled the Voorhees ball club to its second consecutive win.
Eastern struck first as Ryder Haldeman lined a single to right field then stole second base and reached third base on a balk. Coastal Carolina commit Sam Winsett drove Haldeman in on a sacrifice fly to left field to give the Vikings a 1-0 lead.
Dawson was in a jam in the bottom of the first inning after he allowed a leadoff single to Dillon Haddock and then hit a batter with a pitch. He regrouped with back-to-back strikeouts before he induced a fly ball to Haldeman in center field for the third out.
