MEDFORD - After not playing a game for the last five days, the Lenape High School basketball team was looking for a bounce-back victory.
The Indians rebounded from its loss last weekend with a 49-45 triumph over previously unbeaten Cherry Hill East.
Mehki Carter posted a game-high 19 points and a team-high seven rebounds directing Lenape through an Olympic Conference classic matchup. Jaidyn Boyd added 11 points and Nolan Barnes pitched in eight points of his own to pad the effort.
Cherry Hill East's Chris Abreu notched a 10-point, 13-rebound double-double in the loss. The Cougars fall to 12-1 on the season while Lenape moves forward to the tune of an 8-3 record.
