PISCATAWAY (N.J.) - A 24-14 setback to Old Tappan in last year's Group 3 state championship haunted the Delsea football team for almost a whole year.
The loss spoiled the Crusaders' shot at a perfect 13-0 record and prevented the 16-time sectional champions from being named the first ever Group 3 state champions.
This year, Delsea learned from its experience and left no doubt.
