SALEM (N.J.) - After finding out earlier this week that they'd have to forfeit four early season wins, the Salem High School basketball team carried a chip on its shoulder into its matchup with division rival Gloucester Catholic.

The Rams dominated the visitors, 72-47, spoiling Gloucester Catholic's celebratory night.

Heading into the contest, Gloucester Catholic's Jack Mustaro needed three points to become the school's all-time leading scorer. Mustaro hit a first-quarter three-pointer to break the record about two minutes into the game. The senior finished the game with 17 points before fouling out halfway through the third quarter and currently sits at 1,522 points for his career.

Tymear Lecator led the charge with 23 points, eight boards, and seven assists for the Salem County program. Another difference maker for the home team was the rebound discrepancy on the stat sheet. Salem outrebounded Gloucester Catholic, 42-to-14, good for a 28-rebound difference between the two.

After starting the season 8-3 and having to forfeit four games, the Rams are now 5-7 after the win over Gloucester Catholic. Gloucester Catholic falls to 5-7 on the campaign.
