PINE HILL (N.J.) - Timber Creek's boys basketball team grinded out wins over Williamstown and Wildwood to earn a spot in the Tri-County Conference Tournament championship game against second-seeded Overbrook.

The Chargers took the short trip to Pine Hill and finished the job.

Timber Creek shot out to a huge 10-0 lead in the first quarter and would not look back as they cruised past Overbrook, 53-45, to secure their first ever Tri-County Conference Tournament title on Friday night.

Bryan Warren led the charge for Timber Creek with 17 points and seven rebounds. Asa Wharton added eight points and two rebounds for the Chargers.

Dillon Dixon led Overbrook with 13 points and nine rebounds while Devon Johnson pitched in a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double in the contest.

Despite Bryan Warren being the star of the show, Timber Creek head coach Rich Bolds gave credit to his whole team.

"I think today was a team win," Bolds said. "Every game Bryan shows his leadership and today everyone definitely fed off of it.

"Usually it's a different player doing something different every game stepping up and today it was Asa supporting Bryan's lead."

Warren himself has confidence in each of his teammates.

"This is a really special team," Warren said. "I think we're deep and we can make a run, we just have to trust each other and stay consistent."
